In 2018, Amy McGrath ran against Andy Barr, she raised millions of dollars and fell short. Now she is running against Mitch McConnell for the Kentucky Senate. Not many are giving her a chance, but she’s hoping her fundraising ability (possibly the best in the country) will give her the edge that no one has ever had before.

The 2018 Amy McGrath race was a big improvement from 2014 and 2016. In both years, the democratic candidate lost Lexington, a county Amy won by 25,000 votes. While her Senate Bid is still widely regarded as unlikely, a Lexington type improvements in Warren, NKY, and keeping Andy’s big boost in Louisville is the path.
